How much can I talk about in a single chat thread?

Our chat interface currently reads up the last 25 messages in chat (roughly). This was done at a time where many models only had an 8k token context window (which obviously isn’t the case now).

We are actively reviewing this limit.

You can see where the data cut-off is by scrolling up the chat for the following icon:

You can continue chatting in the same thread for as long as you want, however you might find that over time the chat is clogged up with informaiton that is no longer required. Therefore, we suggest you change threads whenever you change topic.

By adding information into the codex as you brainstorm, you can still pull in these details in your new chat thread.
