Do I need to import all of my previous books, if I have recurring characters?

If you are mid-series when starting your Novelcrafter journey, you may be wondering if you should import all of your previous books, to maintain continuity.

If you already have comprehensive codex entries for your characters, or know the details you want to add in, including your previous books is not essential (although you can do so, if you wish).

Many of our users will make codex entries dedicated to each of the earlier books of the series, include summaries of them there, and then bring the codex entry into the AI context when needed (or make a global entry).
